The firm was the former private equity arm of China-focused investment bank Balloch Group, which was acquired by Cannaccord Financial in January 2011.Beikai Capital targets both growth and pre-IPO opportunities through both USD and CNY-denominated funds. While the former targets mature companies across China, the latter invests in SMEs based in second and third-tier cities. The firm focuses on various sectors, including IT, advanced manufacturing, new materials and software.
