Established in Beijing in 2008, Blue Oak China Venture Fund Management (BOC) is a subsidiary of the Blue Oak Capital Group. It is a private equity firm that provides services such as restructuring, private equity financing, initial public offerings and mergers and acquisition. The firm also offers research and analysis of Chinese government policy changes to foreign fund managers. BOC targets growing domestic companies across the industry, including the civil aviation, foods, consumer goods, new materials, new energy and new technology sectors. BOC prefers companies with a positive cashflow and high growth potential. The annual revenue of a potential investee firm should range between USD 150 million and USD 200 million and achieve a yearly profit of up to USD 30 million. While BOC is not involved in the day to day operation of its investees, it offers strategic advice and network contacts to expand the business of companies globally. It typically exits its investments after three to five years through various means, including IPO and trade sale.
