Catalyst Investment Management (Catalyst Private Equity) is a Jordan-based investment company focuses on energy and water sectors covering primarily the Middle East and North Africa. The firm launched its first PE fund in late 2006, a venture capital fund that invested in energy and water technology firms in Jordan, Egypt, West Bank, Saudi Arabia and the UAE within the MENA region. In 2016 Catalyst launched its 2nd fund, the Catalyst MENA Clean Energy Fund, with anchor investors from Europe and a portfolio of solar PV projects. Wind and other types of renewable and energy efficiency projects are also within its scope.
