The Centre for Innovation Incubation and Entrepreneurship (CIIE) fosters innovation driven entrepreneurship in India through incubation, investment, research and training. Started at the Indian Institute of Management (Ahmedabad) in 2002 - initially as a research and training centre - CIIE's incubation and investment activities received an impetus in 2007 following the creation of a dedicated physical infrastructure with support from IIM Ahmedabad, Government of India and the Gujarat Government and an autonomous investment entity.CIIE currently manages Bharat Innovation Fund which targets start-ups within the healthcare, agriculture and energy sectors in India.
