Established in 2012, China Merchants Capital (CMC) is the alternatives investment management subsidiary of China Merchants Group. Optimizing resources from the parent company, the firm focuses on developing and restructuring of industries including high-tech and equipment machinery. Headquartered in China, CMC primarily targets the domestic market but will consider overseas opportunities. CMC holds the equity shares of China-based wholly-owned and joint-venture GPs that were previously held by China Merchants Group. These GPs will continue to operate on a discretionary basis.
