EcoEnterprises Fund is a Costa Rica-based private equity firm that offers early-stage and growth capital to environmentally and socially responsible small and medium sized businesses operational in Latin America. Founded under the umbrella of The Nature Conservancy, EcoEnterprises Fund became an independent investment manager in 2010 with the launch of its second fund. The firm plans to launch a third fund in late 2016.EcoEnterprises Fund concentrates investment in businesses involved in biodiversity, environmental protection and those who help transform local economies. They provide growth capital to businesses in rapidly expanding environmental sectors such as organic agriculture (including apiculture, aquaculture and community-based energy), ecotourism, sustainable forestry, and non-timber forest products.
