EQ Partners is a South Korea-based private equity natural resources firm that targets energy, infrastructure and resource-related assets globally, including OECD markets. Established in 2009, the firm was previously the principal investment arm of Korea Investment Holdings. EQ Partners invests in companies that are in sectors that have high entry barriers, have strong market positions and have potential for long-term and capital growth. The South Korean institution will work with private equity fund managers, corporations and project developers throughout Asia, Middle East, North America and South America for investment opportunities. When investing out of South Korea, it will primarily co-invests alongside both strategic and institutional investors in infrastructure, resource, and energy-related companies and assets. Its clients include pension funds, insurance companies, banks and institutional investors.
