Established in 2002, EV Private Equty (EV) is an independent growth equity firm applying its specialized expertise to build world-class companies and uncover new technologies in the oil and gas sector. It prefers to invest between $5m - $50m in companies operating in upstream oil and gas sectors. EV has raised in excess of $1bn through its funds. Based in Stavanger, Norway , the firm has additional offices in Aberdeen (UK) and Houston (US). EV was created in June 2014 by the merger of Energy Ventures and Progressus Management to create a larger PE fund manager with access to larger resources for the benefit of companies and investors. The business changed its name to EV Private Equity in September 2017 to reflect core activity.
