GCM Customised Fund Investment Group (GCM CFIG) – formerly Credit Suisse Customised Fund Investment Group (CS CFIG) - was initially founded in 2000. Previously part of Credit Suisse, it was re-branded as GCM CFIG following Grosvenor Capital Management’s successful purchase of Credit Suisse's alternative assets funds investment division in August 2013. The firm manages fund investment and co-investment programs, both in the US and internationally.GCM CFIG develops customized private equity investment programs for clients that leverage its integrated private equity platform. CFIG typically follows a ‘solution-based’ business model and believes that building customized separate accounts represents the best approach to private equity investing, both for new entrants and for investors seeking to expand their exposure to the private equity asset class. GCM CFIG provides both discretionary and non-discretionary contracts and encourages its clients to become actively involved in constructing their own investment portfolios. Its discretionary services are often provided as a separate account fund of one vehicle. CFIG serves various client types including endowments, family offices, high-net-worth individuals and large state and private pension funds. In addition to its New York headquarters, CFIG maintains offices in London, Hong Kong, Columbus, Detroit, Indianapolis, Los Angeles, Portland and Raleigh.
