It is the asset management arm of Infrastructure Development Finance Company (IDFC). IDFC Alternatives’ private equity franchise predominantly targets minority and growth investments in India and focuses on a diversified range of industries including healthcare, clean energy as well as infrastructure. It supports entrepreneurs to create value in companies that are at the confluence of infrastructure and consumption sectors. In January 2019, US-based Investcorp completed the acquisition of the real estate and private equity businesses of IDFC Alternatives,changing its name to Investcorp India Asset Managers.
