IDI Emerging Markets is an investment arm of French private equity firm, Groupe IDI. The firm is structured as a holding company and invests exclusively in private equity in emerging economies. The firm was established in 2008 and took over Groupe IDI’s existing portfolio of investments in emerging markets, which the group had sought to build since 2004. As well as Groupe IDI, IDI Emerging Markets’ shareholders include Société Foncière, Financière et de Participations (FFP) and a select group of high-net-worth individuals and family offices.The firm's direct private equity investments are mainly in the form of co-investments and focus on growth capital for mature small and medium enterprises.
