IndiaCo was an investment firm listed on the Bombay Stock Exchange that provided growth capital, direction and operational expertise to fast growing Indian companies. Its investment strategy involved investing value-added capital by providing financing as well as operational, technical and management support to its portfolio companies. The firm had extensive investment experience in listed and unlisted companies. In 2009, it launched its first traditional private equity fund, having previously made investments primarily from IndiaCo's balance sheet.The firm also raised open-ended co-investment vehicles through which it primarily invested proprietary capital but also LP capital on a case-by-case basis. IndiaCo looked to target small but fast growing companies in the telecom, healthcare and clean energy sectors. Within the healthcare sector, IndiaCo placed a particular emphasis on the Indian alternative and holistic healthcare industry, specifically focusing on industry leaders who provide unique and branded products and services.
