Jefferies Capital Partners is a private equity investment firm that focuses its investment activity on industries including energy and energy services, logistics, distribution and healthcare. The firm invests in management buyouts, and in support of corporate expansion and industry consolidation.In 2011, the firm entered into a joint venture with SBI Holdings, a Japan-based private equity firm, to form two separate private equity funds to invest in both Asia and the US.In March 2013, Leucadia National Corporation merged with Jefferies Group, which Jefferies Capital Partners is associated with. However operations between the two companies remain separate. As of 2014, Jefferies Capital Partners is divesting out of its funds and does not plan to make new investments in private equity in the future.
