In March 2013, JRE Partners was liquidated and ceased to exist as an entity.JRE Partners was formed in 2010 as a result of a joint partnership among three companies, Jardine Matheson Holdings, Rothschild Group and Exor SpA. It seeks to leverage on the global network of its parent companies to create value for investee companies. In June 2010, Exor SpA announced that it would commit up to USD 100 million to JRE Partners, which had an initial investment capital of USD 250 million. Prior to March 2013, JRE Partners provided growth capital to companies in Asia, primarily in India and China. It invested in a wide range of industries such as healthcare, education, financial services and manufacturing sectors. When investing in companies, it adopted a flexible approach and would invest in a variety of deal types, including buyout, PIPE, and direct secondaries. It typically committed USD 10 million to USD 50 million per portfolio company and took a minority stake in investee companies.
