Katalyst was a middle market, investment and advisory firm offering venture capital, investment banking services and business advisory services. Since its founding in 1999, Katalyst invested in and advised over 100 technology companies, both public and private, in the US, Europe, Asia and Israel. The venture capital arm of Katalyst invested in technology and telecommunications companies through its partnership with New World Ventures, which began in 2001. Prior to this, Katalyst invested out of its first fund - Katalyst Venture Partners 1, an early stage technology fund which began raising in mid 2000. Five investments were made using this fund.
