Krungthai Bank was formed in 1966 through the merger of two government-owned banks, Kaset Bank and Monton Bank. The firm offers a range of financial services including personal and corporate banking, deposits and loans. In 1989, the bank was listed on the Stock Exchange of Thailand. With its headquarters in Bangkok, Thailand, Krung Thai Bank has over 500 branches across the country. Krungthai Bank has also launched its maiden venture capital fund, SME Private Equity Trust Fund, in Q3 2016. The firm aims to help small and medium-sized enterprises and start-ups to expand their businesses.
