KTB Private Equity (KTB PE) is a Korea-based company which was spun out from KTB Investment & Securities. In 1981, KTB Investment & Securities started out as one of the first venture capital firms within Korea and was originally named KTB Networks. During the mid 1990s, KTB Investment & Securities was listed on KRX (Korean Exchange) and later became privatized in 1999. In 2008, it received a license from Financial Supervisory Service as a brokerage firm. It operates offices and subsidiaries in the US, China, Japan, Singapore, Thailand and Hong Kong. KTB PE specialises in buyout, growth capital and special situations opportunities primarily focusing on Asia.
