LGV, formerly known as Legal & General Ventures, is a provider of private equity in the UK mid-market and professionally manages funds on behalf of external investors. The LGV team arranges MBOs and MBIs seeking diversification by industry and geography. The firm covers all industry sectors but it has developed a broad portfolio with investments particularly in the consumer, leisure, services and healthcare sectors.In March 2013, LGV announced that it was in the process of winding down operations. As of September 2014, had sold a number of its investments and would continue to manage those companies that remained within its portfolio.
