Orion Resource Partners is a New York-based private equity firm that spun-out of RK Mine Finance in 2013. The firm seeks to provide a wide range of financing transactions to mining companies which includes not only equity, but also debt, convertibles, off take, streaming, and royalties.Additionally, the firm also launched its liquid hedge fund group, Orion Commodities Fund (OCF), in November 2015. OCF employs a discretionary metals strategy that trades base and precious metals via futures, forwards, options, and physicals.
