Petersen, Waldheim & Cie. was founded in 1999 by Dr. Helge Petersen and Dr. Gerhard Waldheim to pursue investments as principals as well as to render advisory services, both in the field of private equity. The firm concentrates on majority investments in mid-sized Mittelstand companies in the German-speaking part of Europe. The firm is currently winding down operations, managing their remaining portfolio companies without investing in any new opportunities.
