The firm was the result of the management spin-out of Oppenheimer & Co to form a new independent firm.As of January 1, 2012, the firm entered into a contractual relationship to serve as an advisor to Oppenheimer Private Equity Fund I, Oppenheimer Private Equity Co-Investment Fund, Oppenheimer Global Resource Private Equity Fund I, and Oppenheimer Drilling Partners.However, Roc Resources ceased operations in 2012.
