Telos Venture Partners was the early-stage venture capital arm of Cadence Design Systems based in Silicon Valley. Primary areas of focus included next-generation electronic design automation software and fabless semiconductors.Representative investments were AmmoCore Technology, Clear Shape Technologies, Coventor, E-Z-CAD, Fyre Storm, PDF Solutions and Xpedion Design Systems.In February 2006, Telos Venture Partners was shut down. Telos’ first fund reached the end of its cycle at the end of 2005, its second fund will be terminated at the end of 2006 and its third fund was terminated on December 31, 2005. Telos general partner Bruce Bourbon will manage TVP II until the end of 2006, but the firm’s other two partners, James Hogan and Charlie Huang, have moved on to other endeavors. The firm's website is still currently online, but its telephones have been disconnected.
