The WestSphere Group is an international private equity investment firm headquartered in New York. It was founded in 1989 with initial funding provided by Investcorp International. WestSphere initially invested in US service sector businesses (for example health care, home security, fast food) with equity capital provided by international high-net-worth investors. During this same period, WestSphere had developed a local asset management operation in South America with Morgan Stanley & Co. serving as the clearing agent. This operation was sold to Banco Central Hispano in 1998.
