About Lehman Brothers

Its private equity division invested in six main asset classes: merchant banking, venture capital, real estate, credit related Investments, infrastructure and private fund investments. In September 2008, Lehman Brothers filed for bankruptcy protection in the US. The bankruptcy did not include its private equity business and following this it was announced that Neuberger Berman management had agreed to purchase Lehman Brothers Investment Management Division firm from creditors. The new entity operates under the name Neuberger investment management and includes the private equity fund of funds operations, as well as the previous Neuberger asset management unit. NB Alternatives is the company's fund of funds arm. Please refer to profile for NB Alternatives.
